Welcome to the Periodwise blog
Why Periodwise exists: plain-language period health answers reviewed by OB-GYNs — free, judgment-free, and not trying to sell you anything.
If you have ever googled “is this normal” at 2 a.m. with a heating pad on your stomach, you are in the right place.
Periodwise exists because period health information online tends to fall into two camps: dense medical journals you need a degree to parse, or wellness content trying to sell you a $200 supplement. We think there is room for a third option.
Here is what you can expect from this blog:
Honest answers about pain relief, from what actually works (and what the evidence says) to when cramps stop being “just cramps.” Straightforward guides to birth control, iron and energy, skin, and the dozens of small questions your cycle raises that nobody teaches you in health class. No judgment, no fearmongering, and no pretending one product fixes everything.
If you are new here, a good place to start is our pain relief quiz. It takes two minutes and gives you a plan based on your actual symptoms, not generic advice.
We are glad you found us.
Educational content only. Nothing here replaces advice from your own doctor.
Educational content — not a substitute for medical advice.
